Weaknesses

I was impressed with the huge amount of bike that I got for my money. The frame design is awesome for clearance, and not too heavy. It's plenty durable and solid. The fat wheels are awesome to ride on. I've brought this to many bike shops and talked to people on the street, and everyone is surprised at the small price for how nice it looks.

As Stephen suggests, take the bike to a mechanic to get it set up, it's worth the money. Switching to single speed is tough, and there's some new stuff to learn. The chain tension especially was tough to get because the freewheel was so ovular.

After everything is said, and put together, this bike is soooo much fun to ride, I would suggest it to anyone who wants to try trials at all. Feel free to email me for more info: joevm (at) u.washington.edu

I've been riding trials on and off for about 12 years now and mostly on 26" bikes.

I'm not sure if I would like mod bikes so I didn't want to invest a lot of money into a pro level bike so this bike seemed to fit the bill.

The frame, fork, stem and bars seem to be pretty good quality but the rest of the compenents are pretty cheap. This was expected though and would not cost much to upgrade.

I bought a sealed cartridge BB and an Avid rear V-brake and WTB super long pads. The rear brake now works great. I had a bit of an issue adjusting the back brake as the rim seemed to be too far away from the brake bosses but adding an extra link to the chain solved that problem by allowing the rear wheel to move back in the dropouts.

Other than that the bike is great and I wish I had bought a mod a long time ago. This bike is perfect for me and the price compared to anything else was right!!

I can't speak yet about durability but from the look of the welds and the number of gussets used, I don't think durability of the major components will be an issue.

Great bike for the price. The price for this complete bike is way less than most frames. This is my first 20" trials bike and it is so much easier to learn stuff on than a mountain bike. Also the geometry is cool. The available upgrades are sweet too! I have one with upgraded HS33 brakes on the rear and a White Industries freewheel. I recommend someone who's been riding trials for any significant length of time to get one with the rear brake upgrades. The bike rides smooth and is strong. No problems so far, but I check the spoke tension and cranks and stuff before each ride. It comes with a helpful manual that has a pre-ride checklist for the bike. I recommend one to anyone new to trials or who wants to try a 20" bike.

I ordered the team model which basically has all the upgrades. The shimano sealed bb, the white industried freewheel, Louise front disc brake, and HS-33 rear brake.

So far the bike has been awesome, The geometry feels good and its pretty easy to keep on the rear tire.

The bottom bracket is smooth and strong, the front chainring or spider is a little off so you have to watch out for that when setting up the chain tension. (Stephen clued me in on that and he was totally right)

The freewheel is the 36 point engagment and it works awesome. I can only imagin how well the eno trials (72 point engagment) works. It was a little still at first and would pedal the cranks for you, but not with any weight and that's fading as the freewheel breaks in.

The Louise is suprising. I've heard lots of bad things about them and this one has great modulation and the lockup when you need it. would definitly recommend to anyone.

The HS-33 is wonderful. Mine came out of the box with a broken bracket on one side but the thing still locks up. Once I get that fixed it should be awesome. I would put the cnc aluminum booster magura makes on it because there is a decent amount of flex especially with the EVO 2 mount. Im gonna order one soon. Don't do the steel on because I've heard and used them and everyone know they just flex to much, for $5 more, buy the cnc aluminum.

Other than that the Geometry is great, like I said its easy to keep on the rear tire. Very stable on the front(but that's coming from a guy who's used to riding with "squish" up front) And all around a good bike. For 650 bucks for the team, its a sweet deal.

After you get it, put it together and ride for a day. Then I would check: chain tension(keeping in mind the offset sprocket), the spoke tension(you can never be too safe), brakes obviously, and then get the headset dialed in. Then you'll have a smooth runnin machine. Have fun Guys!

This is a very comfortable bike for me, I am 5'7" lightweight. The front brakes were hard to get working just right for how I like it. A few spokes needed tightened. Good overall bike after you get the bugs worked out.

This bike has been amazing so far. I purchased the team bike a little more $ but way worth it. My bike has all the upgrades. So far it seems very strong. Easy to move around. Very stable. If you are wanting a bike I would go with this one. It is very good quality. Plus the owner Stephen called me to make sure I got the bike and all was well.

I was up and riding 2 hours after the box hit my front porch. Had the biked tweaked to personal taste within the first day. This bike has tons of control with the front end, which in turn makes it a lot easier to keep your balance. The tires are very wide and super grippy. If you have to ride the bike to your practice spot, you can start to miss the seat. The frame is good enough to keep pace with any upgrade I might dream up in the future. Overall, I am very happy with the bike.

Bike is great for the price. Excellent for beginners, the only problem i really had was that it is a touch on the heavy side, but as a trade off you get great strength. Some parts may need to be replaced. The brakes should be the first to go, then the cranks. But you can spend a little extra on upgrades due to the great price. Don't get the Team, for that price you could find a much better bike. If you can find this bike pick it up and switch a few parts out, and it will make a great beginner bike.

My first trials specific bike Im still amazed by how much riding i've gotten out of it. much more bang for the buck than any other bike i've bought before. brakes and cranks are ify, but it's the geometry that matters at this price. If your looking for an entry level trials bike jump on this one.
